I wanted to try something different, for a change or refreshment; and now I remember why I don't do this often! Full-out digital painting is hard work!! Well, I suppose if you did them all the time you'd get faster, but man... Originally I planned for Faeren to be integrated with the forest, but by the time I finished getting his face and hair right I didn't want to add leaves and other happy things to it. I mean, that alone took an hour or two. So you see I got lazy with the forestry. My forests (as you can deduce by my other gallery work) are just conveniently placed scribbles. I would put more effort into making them all realistically rendered, but I DON'T HAVE THE TIME. I'm doing another illustration project (Prince Dighavu! ) and trying to keep RAVEN updated on a weekly basis AND trying to keep up with my studies.. er... readings for classes.

Anyway, Faeren belongs to Adele Sessler. I just happen to like forest and shrubbery and pointed ears. Like her fans, I suppose.
